Account and plan
The 30-day trial, what changes between plans, what gets counted and when it resets, and what happens if the subscription lapses or you cancel.
Every plan includes every feature of the product. What changes from one to the next is how many people you measure and how many studies you launch per year.
That is not this page simplifying: there is no screen, no report and no feature sold separately. The plan does not decide what you can do, it decides at what size.
The 30-day trial
Every account is born in trial, with no credit card.
For those 30 days you can configure everything: build the tree, import the roster, compose the questionnaires, assign them by branch and generate the sample. No cap applies, so if your company has 800 people you can load all 800 and see the product with your real data, not with a demo.
The one thing the trial does not do is open collection. Launching a study requires an active plan.
That is deliberate, and it is the only line you cross by paying. All the configuration work —which is the part that costs you— is done for free, and your draft stays saved exactly as it is. When you subscribe, you launch.
The three axes
Only three things have a cap, and they are the three that cost someone money:
- Studies per period — how many times you open collection in the contracted year.
- People on the roster — how many people you have loaded in a status that can receive surveys.
- Email invitations per period — how many emails go out.
Everything else is uncapped. Questionnaires, per-branch variants, your own Section 3 questions, kiosk stations, segments, reports, platform users, languages: unlimited on every plan. Kiosk stations in particular are never charged —the tablets are yours— and capping questionnaires capped nothing, because a questionnaire can be duplicated.
The plans
| Studies per year | People on roster | Emails per period | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter · USD 2,500/yr | 1 | 100 | 400 |
| Professional · USD 5,000/yr | 2 | 500 | 2,000 |
| Corporate · USD 12,000/yr | 6 | 2,000 | 12,000 |
| Custom · negotiated | unlimited | unlimited | unlimited |
Custom is not self-service: we build it with you. It is the route when the roster does not fit Corporate, or when your study calendar does not look like any of the rows above.
The numbers in this table are for reference. The plans screen inside the product is the one that governs, and it is where you will see the offer in force the day you subscribe.
What gets counted, and when it resets
A «period» is your contracted year, not the calendar year. Subscribe in March and your period runs March to March, and March is when the counters go back to zero. The distinction matters: there is no January 1st handing studies back to anyone.
Studies are counted on launch, and the credit is not returned. A finished study consumed its credit, and that is right: closing it does not undo the collection.
The roster counts the people who can receive surveys. Every status on your roster has a checkbox, «Can receive surveys», and only the people in a status with it checked count toward the cap. It is the same criterion the product uses to build the sample, so the number we sold you is the same number you can survey: what is not billed is not surveyed, and the other way round. With the statuses a new account comes with, anyone on holiday or on sick leave does not count, and moving someone who has left to a status without the checkbox frees their place. Statuses are defined under Configuration → Payroll → Statuses; see The roster spreadsheet.
Emails count sends, not people. Re-inviting someone sends another email and adds another. The kiosk consumes nothing on this axis: only email costs email.
All of it is visible on the plan screen, with its meter: what you have used and what you have.
If you go over the included roster
The people cap is not a wall. Above what is included you can keep adding people and it is charged per head, up to a ceiling:
| Included | Additional | Up to | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 100 | USD 30 per person per year | 150 |
| Professional | 500 | USD 15 per person per year | 750 |
| Corporate | 2,000 | USD 10 per person per year | 3,000 |
Past the ceiling you have to move up a plan. And the ceiling sits where it sits for a reason: using a plan's full overage always costs less than the next plan, so it is never in your interest to sit paying extras when the jump would already suit you better.
The overage is billed separately from the annual charge. The product tells you how many people are over and what they add up to before it appears on any invoice, and the roster importer warns you in the preview, not after you have mapped the columns.
Account states
| State | Configure | Launch | Read results |
|---|---|---|---|
| In trial | Yes, uncapped | No | Yes |
| Active | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Payment pending | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Read-only | No | No | Yes |
Payment pending is the 14-day window that follows a charge that did not go through. Everything works normally; it is a prompt to check the payment method, not a punishment. Most failed payments are an expired card rather than a decision to leave, and cutting access on day one would treat the two the same.
«Read-only» deletes nothing
When the trial ends without a subscription, or when the subscription lapses, the account goes read-only. And that means exactly what it says:
Your results and your history stay available to consult and download, forever. They are not deleted, not degraded and not hidden behind a plan.
What you cannot do is configure or launch new studies until you reactivate. What you already measured is already yours — and a climate history that evaporates when an invoice lapses would not serve the one purpose a history serves.
Changing plan
Moving up is immediate, at any time.
Moving down is allowed, on one condition: the new plan has to be enough for what you already have loaded. A company that shrank its headcount moves down without trouble; one with 600 active people cannot move down to a plan that admits 150, because it would be over its own cap the same day it paid.
The block happens before charging. If your usage does not fit, the product tells you by how much and charges you nothing.
Cancelling
Cancelling means «do not renew me», not «keep what I paid».
Your account stays active until the period you already paid for ends, with everything working: you can launch, run and close studies right up to the last day. When that day comes it goes read-only — and your results are still there.
Cancelling does not entitle you to the payment-pending window: that exists for the charge that failed, and a cancellation is not a failure, it is a decision with a date of its own.
How payment works
A year in advance. There is no monthly plan, and that is not an omission: a climate study is annual, and a monthly one would let someone pay for one month, launch their study for the year and leave.
Payment is processed by Polar, acting as merchant of record: legally it is the party that sells you the subscription, takes the payment and issues the receipt, including any taxes that apply in your country.
Your card details never pass through our servers at any point: the charge happens against the provider, directly from your browser.
Deleting the account
Cancelling and deleting are not the same thing, and the difference is worth having clear before you touch anything:
| Cancel | Delete | |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | The plan is not renewed | Everything is erased |
| Your results | Kept, read-only | Destroyed |
| Can it be undone? | Yes: subscribe again | No |
Only the account owner can delete it. Being an admin is not enough: it is the same step up as subscribing to a plan or lowering the confidentiality threshold. It is done from Settings → General, and you have to type the organisation's exact name to confirm — it is not a checkbox you tick without reading.
It is immediate and cannot be undone. On confirmation the following is erased, on the spot:
- the org tree, the roster and the positions
- the questionnaires and your own questions
- every study, result and the full history, including your people's answers
- the whole team's sign-in accounts, yours included
- if you have an active plan, it is cancelled and will not be charged again
There is no grace period, no recycle bin and no copy we can restore afterwards. Not even us.
⚠️ Download anything worth keeping first. For as long as the account exists you can export your results in Excel and PDF, with no time limit, even on a lapsed plan. After closure there is nowhere to get them from.
Why so drastic? Because the right to withdraw consent —article 5 of Law 8968— has to be exercisable for real, and a deletion that leaves copies lying around is not. The trade-off is that exporting beforehand is your responsibility.
If what you want is to stop paying without losing anything, what you are looking for is cancelling: the account becomes read-only and your results stay available.
